The Olympic Museum is organising a photo competition to bring together thousands of sports images from people all over the world. Amateur photographers are invited to share their photos of sport practised in an improvised or unusual way. You can photograph any sports discipline, and especially those for which you need little or no equipment.
With this competition, the Olympic Museum is demonstrating its desire to promote user-generated content to show in an unfiltered way that sport is present everywhere in society, including outside the official infrastructure.
Amateur photographers can still sign up via a dedicated page on The Olympic Museum website until 11th July 2017. An international jury will then meet on 12th July to choose the three winning images and their 100 favourite photographs that best illustrate this Olympic spirit. On top of that, there will be three images in the “People’s Choice Prize” category.
Furthermore, a “social media” category will offer two further prizes: for the most shared photo on Twitter and the most liked photo on Instagram.
The six winners will receive their prizes during the sports image weekend at the Olympic Museum on 2nd and 3rd September 2017.
