Tragic passing of alpine skier David Poisson

FIS was saddened to learn about the passing of David Poisson, 35, a member of the French Alpine Ski Team who died in a downhill training accident on 13th November 2017 at the Canadian resort of Nakiska.

David was a respected and accomplished athlete on the FIS World Cup tour ever since his debut in 2004. He was a bronze medallist in downhill at the 2013 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming (AUT) and a podium finisher at the Santa Caterina (ITA) World Cup downhill in 2015.
