The FIS Passport, a database that manages the whereabout records, health questionnaires and Covid-19 test results for individuals applying for accreditation at FIS World Cup events, is now fully operational.
After the registration phase of the platform was already opened in October, registered users can now apply for the specific FIS World Cup events they are planning to attend and start putting in their data to fulfil their Covid-19 prevention obligations.
Who should register?
All stakeholders who intend to travel to any of the Cross-Country, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping, Alpine Skiing, Freestyle, Freeski and Snowboard FIS World Cup events and apply for accreditation should register.
This includes, but is not limited to athletes, coaches, service staff, FIS Officials, TV and rights holding broadcasters, media representatives, National Ski Association representatives and more.
Why should I register?
The FIS passport is a platform that provides the information from the respective registered user to the Local Organising Committees to help them streamline the accreditation process for individuals.
If you have applied for an accreditation at any World Cup event, you also need to fulfil the FIS Passport obligations.
When should I register?
At any time but it is strongly recommended to enter your data as soon as possible. The official registration for the Covid-19 FIS Passport remains open for all stakeholders of FIS World Cup events in the Olympic disciplines.
You only have to register once and will be able to apply for all FIS World Cup events of your choosing within the platform.
Do I still need to apply for accreditation to the Organising Committee?
Yes, the FIS Passport is just for collecting and managing the Covid-19 prevention-related data. You still need to apply for accreditation to the Organising Committee in the normal way (athletes, teams, NSA representatives and officials via the FIS online entry system, TV via the rights holder, media representatives via the respective Organising Committees directly).
How do I register?
1. Go to https://fispassport.fis-ski.com/fis/
2. Enter FIS Passport Access Code: FIS2021 (the password is case sensitive.)
3. Fill out the registration form
Once you register, you will receive an automatic invitation to continue providing whereabouts information along with answering the Health questionnaire and uploading Covid-19 test results.
What about data protection?
The FIS Passport meets all data protection and GDPR regulations and gives those registered a streamlined opportunity to present their Covid-19 status for accreditation. Additionally, it ensures that Organisers have a central database to screen participants, further ensuring everyone’s safety at FIS World Cup events
