On average SnowKidz Organisers see significant results from their events within three seasons, which prompts many Organisers to expand their activities. One such expansion has taken place faster with the FreeRide Club in Hungary.
Headed by Zoltán Székely and based in Hungary, FreeRide Club are local ski clubs dedicated to making snow sports fun for kids. The club joined SnowKidz in October 2016 and quickly registered their first events. That season saw three events all taking place at their local mountain, Síaréna Eplény. The events were a success and the next season the club expanded from three to five events at three different locations including one in Austria, Síaréna Eplény (HUN), FreeRide Club Sipalya (HUN) and Turracher Höhe (AUT). Now, for the 2019/2020 season, the club has once again expanded and will host six events.
Club President Zoltán Székely commented “FreeRide Club was founded 10 years ago, in order to promote snow sports in Hungary. The club‘s founders are former ski racers and highly educated ski instructors who work together to build an enthusiastic community. Our motto is; adventure - experience - community”.
Each of the FreeRide Club events belong to a tour called the HómenÅ‘k Kupa. At each stop of the tour, events cater to both experienced and beginner skiers. For experienced skiers, there is a fun race course with prizes and for beginners skiers there are free lessons. All activities are conducted under the watchful eye of trainers and best of all, all participants receive discounted lift passes, diplomas and prizes.
