The 2018/19 season came to an end for the Alpine Masters with a record number of participants in the FIS Masters Cup Finals in Hochkar-Goestling (AUT) with 480 starts.

Robert Fahrnberger and his crew organised a super-G and a slalom event on a perfectly prepared slope, which will also stage the FIS World Masters Criterium in 2021.

Double World Cup Points were awarded, and the Overall Winners received their well-deserved crystal globes. The event was an excellent way to close a season of records in a festive manner.

In 2018/19 participation numbers were achieved unlike in any other season before with 7,100 Masters World Cup starts in 43 competitions (only four events were cancelled due to bad weather). Masters events will continue to grow as the 2019/20 calendar has 54 Masters World Cups.
