FIS was saddened to learn of the passing of the former President of the Norwegian Ski Association, Christian Mohn. An active ski jumper in his youth, Mohn’s career highlights included fourth place at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1950, second place at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1952, and 20thplace at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1954.
After his active career, Mohn continued to serve the sport in various roles and became President of the Norwegian Ski Association for two years from 1978-1980. In 1960, he founded and was the driving force behind “Hoppsportens venner” for more than 60 years. The organisation has contributed more than 50 million NOK to the success of Norwegian Ski Jumping and all other disciplines.
