The 22-year-old stated the following: “Deeply frustrated, I have to announce that due to health problems, I will have to take time off from professional sports and World Cup competitions.”
Lange started in 50 World Cup events so far, with a fourth place in Sapporo (JPN) in 2017 as his best result.
