The Austrian team around head coach Andreas Felder traveled to Scandinavia last week to train in Stockholm (SWE) and Lillehammer (NOR).

From Tuesday to Thursday, Stefan Kraft, Michael Hayboeck, Daniel Huber, Philipp Aschenwald, Clemens Aigner and Jan Hoerl used a wind tunnel in the Swedish capitol to work on their flying position and for equipment testing.

Then the team left for Lillehammer, where they were joined by Gregor Schlierenzauer. Even though it was only possible to jump on the normal hill at the Lysgaardsbakken due to the wind conditions, coach Andreas Felder was satisfied with the training camp up north. "This was a training camp dominated by the wind. First in the indoor wind tunnel in Sweden and then on the hill in Lillehammer. We are currently in a period of individual development and stabilization. Unfortunately, we could not jump on the large hill in Lillehammer, the conditions did not allow that. But still, we were able to gain valuable insights, worked on technical details and made lots of progress."

The athletes return home on Monday, the next joint training camp will follow in Oberhof in two weeks.
