Silje Opseth wins the qualification in Chaikovsky

Silje Opseth won the qualification for the women's individual competition of the summer Grand Prix on Saturday on the Snezhynka-hill (HS 140) in Chaikovsky. The Norwegian jumped on 134 m.

With the longest jump in the qualification, Silje Opseth came in just 0.6 points ahead of Ursa Bogataj (130 m). Ema Klinec (125 m) was third, Irina Avvakumova (128 m) fourth, Jerneja Brecl fifth (123 m) and Klara Urlichova (117 m) finished sixth.

Other athletes in the Top 10 of this qualification were Dong Bing (114,5 m), Sofia Tikhonova (116 m), Peng Qingyue (117,5 m) and Anna Shpyneva (115 m).

The women's and men's competitions on Saturday will be held alternately. The women's competition starts at 8 am CET.
