Monday Mix - June 15, 2020

There seems to be some pretty serious snowpacks still hanging on tough in the Alps and Scandanvia, which means that just when we figured we'd be getting ready to ride out the next few months with workout clips and surf sessions and hopefully a little of this and that out of the southern locales, instead we've got a whole nother stack of fresh on-board content (as well as a bunch of tasty throwbacks) to bring you here at the ever-ready-for-anything Monday Mix.

And that is, quite obviously, more than fine by us. Especially when something comes down the line as mind-blowingly awesome as Swedish superstar Sven Thorgren stomping the heck out of the world's first triple Michalchuck on a massive hip in Riksgransen...

Wooo-eee...we might have come out of the gate a little bit heavy here, because that's a tough act to follow up. On the other hand, it's kinda just made us thirsty for more, so onward we go. Maybe we should check in on Pat Burgener? He's usually got something fun happening...

Ahhh, yes, that's the stuff. Alright, we're hitting the groove here. Let's jump over to Italy, where the Framerin boys have been getting gnarly in La Thuile. Photos only of this one, but that's one heck of a road gap...

Speaking of the Italians, their SBX team is back on snow for a training camp in Stelvio, which means we can expect plenty more of the good stuff like these clips from Rafaella Brutto and Michela "Mach 2" Moioli over the next week or two or three...

Not to be outdone, the French SBX squad is holding their own camp just a quick 500km crusie to the west in Val d'Isere. We did a quick check-in with Chloe Trespeuch and Manon Petit Lenoir to see how the stoke levels are doing over there in France and we can confirm that there is POW in JUNE and that the stoke levels are HIGH...

And then Anna Gasser jumps in to let us know that it's been dumping in Austria, too? 'Jealous' does not begin to describe the emotions behind this keyboard right now...

Ok, ok...let's take it back to the summer slush and some conditions that make a little more sense for our June-oriented brains with this nothing-but-good-vibes tube session from German steezemeister Annika Morgan...

It was an excellent 2019/20 season for Sebastien Konijnenberg, who earned himself a World Cup quota spot by topping the Europa Cup slopestyle/big air rankings. One of France's finest finished off an epic year in suitable style with this super smooth corked front 3 on his last day of shred in Les 2 Alpes...

Somehow we almost forgot...the Olympic Channel has the men's big air final from the PyeonChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games streaming on Twitter, where Sebastien Toutant (CAN), Kyle Mack (USA) and Billy Morgan (GBR) went gold-silver-bronze in what was a truly epic showdown at the first-ever Olympic big air competition...

Which just so happens to remind us that we have also been looking back at a pretty epic big air competition from yesteryear, as our #ClassicsLive throwback to the Istanbul 2014/15 World Cup is still streaming over on YouTube...and also right here. Right below this text box. Right ⬇️ there, actually.

Well what a week. It's the middle of June and we're like 16 posts in to this week's Mix and every SINGLE one has featured actual snowboarding. Surely there's gotta be a rider at a beach somewhere. What about Queralt Castellet? She's Spanish, it's usually hot there, they've got beaches...
