Swiss Team gears up for 2025 World Championships season

As the new season approaches, national teams are unveiling their rosters, and the Swiss Team stands out as one of the strongest in snowboarding, freestyle, and freeskiing. Known for their exceptional performances, the Swiss athletes are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting 2024/25 World Cup season, culminating in the home Engadin 2025 Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships.
Previous Season's Highlights
The 2023/24 season saw the Swiss Team achieving remarkable success across various disciplines. In snowboarding, the team secured one victory and a total of eight top-three finishes. The freestyle and freeski athletes excelled even further, with ten victories and 37 top-three finishes in the World Cup season.
Notable stars included:
Mathilde Gremaud: Winner of the slopestyle globe, big air, and the overall freeski park & pipe globe.
Pirmin Werner: Runner-up in aerials.
Alex Fiva: Third place in ski cross.
Andri Ragettli: Second place in big air and third in slopestyle.
The Swiss team also shone in the Telemark World Cup, with six wins and a total of ten top-three finishes.
Strong Squad for 2024/25 Season
Building on last season's achievements, the Swiss Team is entering the 2024/25 season with a formidable lineup. All top performers from the previous season are returning, ready to make a strong impact in the World Cup and the upcoming World Championships.
The team includes 36 athletes with national team status, distributed across various disciplines:

Expanding the Talent Pool
In addition to the national team, 13 athletes have newly received squad status from Swiss-Ski for the 2024/25 season. A total of 124 athletes have been granted squad status across the disciplines of snowboard, skicross, freeski, aerials, moguls, and telemark.
