JWSC: Norway Closes Championships in Schilpario with Double Victory

SCHILPARIO (ITA) - The final races of the Junior and U23 World Championships in Schilpario delivered thrilling action as the mixed relay teams battled for podium spots. It is national pride on the line and everyone wants to perform at its best on that day.

Once again, Norway showcased their strength, with their teams executing a near-perfect race. Strong performances in both the classic and freestyle legs allowed them to take control early on, and they never looked back, crossing the finish line to claim the gold medal both in the Juniors, but also in the U23.

The fight for silver and bronze was more fierce, for the juniors the French team impressed and managed to secure a silver medal, the only medal to France in Italy this time. Meanwhile, the Italian team put on a strong relay in front of their home crowd, clinching the bronze and giving the fans a reason to celebrate.

For U32 Italy impressed with a strong and well-executed relay, stepping one place higher on the podium than in the junior race, securing a well-earned silver medal. It was a remarkable finish to an already successful championship for the Italian team.

Germany also put on a stellar performance, with Helen Hoffmann—fresh off her gold medal in the interval start—anchoring the team on the final lap. She powered them to a well-deserved bronze, rounding off a competitive and exciting race.

With this exciting relay events, the junior and U23 World Championships in Schilpario came to an end. Some amazing days are over, but we are looking forward to see the development of this athletes in the future.
