Cross-Country National Team Selections for Finland, France and Switzerland

The nations are gearing up for the upcoming winter with the Olympic Games in Milano Cortina as the big highlight in the beginning of February.
Team Finland
The Finnish Ski Association has announced its national cross-country skiing team for the 2025/2026 season, the team is a strong mix of emerging young talents and seasoned athletes, including last year’s Sprint Cup winner, Jasmi Joensuu. Lauri Vuorinen delivered a memorable performance at the World Championships in Trondheim, claiming bronze in the individual sprint. He followed that up with another bronze medal in the team sprint, partnering with Ristomatti Hakola in a strong Finnish showing.

Team Switzerland
The Swiss-Ski federation has also announced its national Cross-Country A-team for the upcoming season, consisting of five men and four women. The men’s team made a strong impression at the World Championships in Trondheim, capturing a silver medal in the relay, while the women’s squad earned bronze in the team sprint. Leading the charge was Nadine Fähndrich, who didn’t stop there—she delivered an impressive performance in the individual sprint, securing a second bronze medal for herself and further solidifying her status as one of the sport’s top sprinters.
