While the World Cup Tour is looking ahead to the slalom opening in Levi, the preparations in North-America are also in full swing. Today, the races in Beaver Creek got the green light and nothing stands in the way of the super-g (30th November), the downhill (1st December) and the giant slalom (2nd December) on the Birds of Prey.

Greg Johnson, VP of the mountain operations, was very happy about the positive snow control. “It’s my pleasure to let you know that snowmaking on the Birds of Prey course is 99% complete today, and that the event can be confirmed. We have had an exceptional start to the season here with both Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek opening to our guests early under outstanding conditions with large amounts of terrain. Clearly the Birds of Prey has also benefited from these great conditions, and it is going to lead to outstanding event conditions as well. Congratulations are due to the entire team at Beaver Creek for their efforts so far in preparing the event.”

Before Beaver Creek, the World Cup Tour will stop in Killington (USA) for ladies’ tech races and in Lake Louise (CAN) for men’s speed races.
