The world of sport has been active in the search for funds to help those in difficulty during the health emergency caused by COVID-19. Mikaela Shiffrin has undoubtedly been very sensitive in this topic, and she joined Olympic cross-country skier Jessie Diggins, mountain bike racer Kate Courtney, and pro tennis player Madison Keys to raise funds for COVID-19 relief through their #KindnessInCrisis auction, which wrapped up on the 14th of April.

She has selected her competition memorabilia to find auction-worthy items like signed race bibs, signed googles or autographed copy of her cover. In all, the auction raised more than $51,000 for COVID-19 relief organizations.

At times like these, combining a bit of healthy fun in search of helping others is the best way to deal with such a big crisis, and Mikaela has thought well to use her singing skills for a live performance with Musical Artist KT Tunstall in favour of Goggles for Docs. They will be performing live as part of the Virtual Apres Music Series from REVERB.org that features musical artists performing 30-45 minute sets, all from the comfort of their living rooms. The performance will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/REVERB starting at 7 p.m. ET on Friday the 17th of April.

Goggles for Docs, the U.S. based campaign provides used ski goggles to healthcare workers, and to date, nearly 30,000 goggles have been donated to hospitals/clinics in North America. If you have old or superfluous ski goggles at home and would like to help, here are all the details: https://gogglesfordocs.com/.
