Norwegian ski star Ragnhild Mowinckel came back to snow for the first time this week after 17 months in Oslo ski dome.
In 2018, she earned Olympic silver medals in the downhill and giant slalom events and she consolidated those successes with her first World Cup win less than a month after the Olympic Games. In 2019, she earned a first world championships medal, bronze in the alpine combined, and she placed fifth in the World Cup overall standings.
The Olympic medalist suffered a torn ACL during the downhill training in Soldeu’s World Cup finals in 2019 and she suffered the same injury during her comeback preparation last autumn.
“After 17 months of rehab and two ACL reconstructions, i’m finally back on snow” says Olympic medalist Ragnhild Mowinckel “Since my crash in March 2019 I’ve only had one goal, to get back to the World Cup and race again”.
