Alpine Skiing star Felix Neureuther announced through a very nice video his new challenge for the upcoming winter. Recently retired from ski racing he will join German Television and Radio as an expert analyst for their coverage of World Cup ski racing, replacing Maria Hoefl-Riesch.

The 35-years-old Neureuther has a palmares of 13 World Cup victories and medals in three consecutive World Championship in 2013, 2015, and 2017 and he decided to turn the page at the World Cup finals in Soldeu with his last race.

Neureuther has appeared as a guest commentator on radio and television broadcasts in the past and has said he has hopes that his future long-term career will be in journalism, “I don’t want to continue (broadcasting) as it is being done now. I want to change something,” he told Bavarian Radio of his plans for his new career. “I want to do this in my own way. I do not want to look so big as an expert, but want to bring the spectators closer to the sport. To show new perspectives and to awaken emotions.”

Last but not least, Felix announced through his social media channels the great new regarding his forthcoming second fatherhood. Neureuther’s family is getting bigger!
