Awards for our 22/23 season's stars

Sport is beautiful for many reasons. It's a source of self-fulfilment, of surpassing limits and, above all, of spreading all kinds of dreams to everyone who watches sporting results from near or far.
Athletes sacrifice a lot in the shadows so they can shine in the light, in front of your eyes.
They therefore deserve to be recognised not only for their performance but also for their personality and their example of self-sacrifice and perseverance.
As every year, prizes are awarded and once again this year they are more than deserved.
The woman, the athlete, the talented Mikaela Shiffrin (USA), who has beaten Ingemar Stenmark's previous record of 86 victories, has of course been invited to a number of TV programmes, shows and prize-giving ceremonies.
It was in the Big Apple city that Mikaela enjoyed a string of TV shows and, accompanied by her partner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR), attended the #TIME100 gala.
She also travelled to her home valley in Vail, where a memorable reception was organised to celebrate her record 88 World Cup victories.
On the men's side, it was the season's other superstar, Marco Odermatt (SUI), who received a triumphant welcome from the canton of Nidwalden to celebrate his astonishing season.
For the first time, Swissski organised awards. Several categories were established, and it was the two Downhill World Champions, Jasmine Flury and Marco Odermatt, who were named athlete of the year. In addition to this title, Marco Odermatt also received the Fan Award.
To complete the list, Ramon Zenhaeusern received the social media award, while Alexis Monney was named Alpine Rookie of the Year.
On the Italian side, Sofia Goggia has been invited to countless television programmes and social occasions, one of which stands out above all, the Republic Day celebrations on 2 June at the Quirinale, where she met the President of the Republic, Giorgia Meloni.
