As the winter season approaches, the tension is slowly building, and the athletes will be making their return to the World Cup circuit on October 28 in Sölden.

While all eyes will be on the big stars of last season, the arrival of a new generation of athletes, ready to make their mark in the "big" world, promises to be exciting!

These up-and-coming talents bring a blend of dynamism, skill and unshakeable determination to the world of alpine skiing.

Lara Colturi from Albania

Although she unfortunately suffered a knee injury during her preparations for the World Championships in Courchevel/Méribel, the talented skier has shown on many occasions that she is definitely a skier to be reckoned with!

Having just started her first year on the FIS circuit, Lara has already scored several World Cup points and won the title of Junior World Super-G Champion.

Livio Hiltbrand from Switzerland

The Swiss skier's greatest achievement to date is his Junior World Super-G title. Thanks to this, he was able to make his first World Cup start at the finals in Soldeu last season.

Their careers promise to be exciting and full of sporting feats. They are the first protagonists of our column and, as always, there will be others who, besides being the protagonists of our column, will be the protagonists of our sport in a few years' time... or maybe soon!
