Alice in Wonderland is back!

Maribor races have been moved to Kranjska Gora, because of a lack of snow and mild temperatures. Kranjska which usually hosts men's competitions has always been a challenging track for both men and women and today's Women Giant Slalom has been very demanding with icy and bumpy conditions that have made the race exciting and very tight.
With those conditions, one of all stood out: Alice Robinson (NZL) put together two solid runs with a few many mistakes during the first run but almost perfect for the second that permitted her to win her second World Cup race almost four months after she surprised everybody in the season-opener. Alice in Wonderland is back!
Petra Vhlova (SVK) ran a combined 1:54.66, which meant that she dropped down from first after her initial attempt and she missed the opportunity to win her second Giant Slalom this season by 0.34.
Third place was claimed by Meta Hrovat (SLO), who recorded 1:55.91 in her home country and she shared the final spot on the podium with Wendy Holdener (SUI), and they both earned a second career podium result in the giant slalom.
The race proved to be very tight with four athletes in 6 cents: tie-third place with Holdener and Hrovat, fourth Marta Bassino (ITA) and fifth Tina Robnik (SLO)with a total time of 1:55:97.
Federica Brignone (ITA) who shared victory with Petra Vlhova in the previous Giant Slalom in Sestriere a month ago and she has been in the top five in all the last event discipline this season, placed just eighth. Still, she remained on the top of the Giant Slalom standings.
On Sunday morning at 10.15 CET, the second and last show in Kranjska Gora will take place with a Slalom race.
