BORMIO, ITALY - DECEMBER 27: Beat Feuz of Switzerland takes 2nd place, Dominik Paris of Italy takes 1st place, Matthias Mayer of Austria takes 3rd place during the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Men's Downhill on December 27, 2019 in Bormio Italy. (Photo by Christophe Pallot/Agence Zoom)

Dominik Paris and Bormio, there must be something special between these two.
‘Domme’ skis amazingly well to win his 13th overall Downhill race with a terrific run on La Stelvio, one of his favourite slopes, if not the favourite.

The Italian speed ace draws perfect trajectories and becomes the first skier in history to achieve four Downhill victories – three in a row - in Bormio.

Runner up Beat Feuz (SUI) does his best to keep up with Paris and achieves his third podium in three races with a solid second place (+0.39) and therefore keeps leading the Downhill Ranking 36 points ahead of Paris.

Matthias Mayer (AUT) finishes third, just 0.03s behind Feuz. It’s the first Downhill podium of the season for the Austrian skier, after a 5th place in Lake Louise and a disappointing 31st place in Beaver Creek.

The second Downhill in Bormio is scheduled for tomorrow, this time starting from the very top. The weather looks promising and the slope is in great conditions, all the ingredients for another fantastic race. Will it be again a Paris show or what will happen tomorrow?
