UPDATE 13/01/21: The two slalom races scheduled in Kitzbühel (AUT) on Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th January 2021 have been moved to Flachau (AUT) on the same dates. At the request of the Austrian government and the Tirol provincial government to provide more time to carry out the necessary tests to ensure a safe environment, the races were moved to Flachau. The rest of the scheduled races in Kitzbühel are currently set to go ahead as planned.

Due to the current circumstances with the Covid-19 pandemic the Men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup races in Wengen (SUI) scheduled for 15th-17th January 2021 have been cancelled.

The Canton of Bern’s Health and Business Administration decided to withdraw the permit for the Lauberhorn races in consultation with the Wengen OC, Swiss-Ski and FIS. It was determined by the Bern Authorities, after a detailed evaluation, that it would not be possible to take all precautions so that the athletes and the support teams can be adequately protected in separate zones. More info about the situation in Wengen can be found here.

"We are very disappointed not to be able to race the Lauberhornrennen, one of the big Downhill and Slalom classics. However, the health and safety of the athletes is always our number one priority and we fully suppport this decision." said Markus Waldner, Chief Race Director of the Men's Alpine World Cup.
