With the Audi FIS men’s World Cup slalom season being a real rollercoaster, it was only appropriate that the deciding race came at the Finals. Five athletes were in contnetion for the small globe, Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR), Lucas Braathen (NOR), Linus Strasser (GER), Manuel Feller (AUT) and Daniel Yule (SUI).

The first run saw a Norwegian sweep with Braathen, Kristoffersen and Atle Lie McGrath. Braathen leading the pack. Olympic champion, Clement Noel (FRA), was sat in fourth place, while Strasser and Feller were still in the race for the globe in eighth and 10th, respectively.

In a nail-biting second run, Feller theld the lead for much of the race until he was dethroned by McGrath by 0.77-seconds. Kristoffersen finished just 0.37 seconds short. For McGrath, it was his second slalom World Cup victory enough to give him a third-place finish World Cup slalom standings.

The second place finish was enough for Kristoffersen to earn the slalom globe.
