The winningest female in alpine skiing history announced that the 2018/19 season will be her last winter of competition. After failing to finish a World Cup super-G in Cortina, the US superstar said leaving the sport immediately was a possibility. Five days after crashing in the super-G at the World Champs in Åre, Vonn bounced back to win the bronze medal in the world championship downhill in the final race of her career.
