Former Cross-Country skier and Olympic gold medal winner Chandra Crawford was awarded with the IOC 2018 women and sports award for Americas for her work at Fast and Female.

Fast and Female organisation aims to tackle the issue of adolescent girls being six times more likely to drop out of sport than boys, with their efforts centred around positive female empowerment and nurturing a desire to pursue a healthy, athletic lifestyle as adults.

What is Fast and Female?

• Mission: Keep girls healthy and active in sports
• Host of dozens of fun-filled, non-competitive events all over North America for girls age 8-18
• Giving girls the athlete role models and resiliency skills they need to succeed in any endeavor.
