The competition format for the 10km C race on 1st January 2023 was changed back to a Pursuit.

On Wednesday, 28th December - the decision had to be taken to shorten the course to 2.5 km due to critical snow conditions. In order to avoid overlapping - which would result in the exclusion of athletes for the rest of the Tour - the format was changed to a Mass start.

However, during todays official training and testing of the course, several teams expressed concerns regarding the safety. The feedback was discussed thoroughly with all present teams and the decision was taken to change the format back to a Pursuit.

Back on track, the COOP FIS Tour de Ski performance by Le Gruyère AOP will start out with tomorrow's Sprint in Free technique at Switzerlands opening stage in Val Müstair.
