Warm up for the ROL World Cup in Madona (LAT)

On Thursday, 25th August, the FIS Rollerski World Cup will kick off in the Latvian town of Madona. Along the World Cup race, the title event of the FIS Rollerski Junior World Championships will take place in the four-day event.

Follow the competitions on Saturday and Sunday via livestream on the FIS Rollerski YouTube channel.

Delegations from 12 countries have confirmed their participation and a total of 91 athletes are expected to be on the start line. The highest number of athletes are subscribed from Latvia, Italy, Sweden, Kazakhstan and Lithuania. Most of the athletes have already arrived in Madona for a first training session and introduction to the race course.

Thursday, 25th August – 10km/15km C – 7.5km/10km C (Juniors)

The competition will open on Thursday morning at the sports and recreation base "Smecere sils", where the classic race with individual start will take place starting from 8.00h (CET) all the way through midday.

Friday, 26th August – Teamsprint

The “Smecere sils” stadium will be the place for Fridays Teamsprint competition which start from 8.00h (CET).

Saturday, 27th August – 200m Supersprint

On Saturday, the race moves to the city centre, where the 200-metre sprint qualification will take place on Raina Street from 15.00h (CET), and the fastest sprinters will take part in the sprint finals from 16.30h (CET).

Sunday, 28th August – 15km/20km Mass start

The final race day will start with the 15km mass start competition of the women, starting off at 9.00h CET, followed by the 20km mass start competition of men at 10.00h CET.

The following 12 teams have confirmed their participation in the Latvian stage: Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
