Oestberg strikes again in Lenzerheide

(Lenzerheide, Switzerland) Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg continued her winning ways in Lenzerheide in the ladies' 10 km classic interval start competition.  It was here that she won her first ever distance World Cup two seasons ago also during the Tour de Ski.  She now leads the Tour by 32.8 seconds ahead of her teammate Heidi Weng.  Weng was second place today +25.7 behind.  The USA's Sadie Bjornsen rounded out the podium continuing her strong performances with her third podium this season.  She crossed the line in 3rd place +42.2 back of Oestberg.

Stage 3 of the Tour continues tomorrow with the 10 km pursuit event in free technique.

Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (NOR)
I knew it was going to be a tough race in these conditions. My goal this season has been to get better each weekend. My shape is very good right now. Tomorrow I will be chased and it is going to be a tough race.

Heidi Weng (NOR)
The corners were really icy. Before the start I was little bit afraid about it. I did not know how fast I would be. I did not feel I was skiing fast but when I got the split times I heard I was gaining time on the other girls.

Sadie Bjornsen (USA)
It’s has been a huge goal of mine to be on the distance podium. It felt really crazy out there today. At the 6.0 km I got the information I was in 2nd place. I had to ski a lot out of the track. I had to give everything I had in the last 2.5 km. I was little bit disappointed yesterday, I was hoping for more so today feels really great.
