After a show-stopping introduction to the 2022/23 FIS Freeski World Cup season over this past weekend in Switzerland at the Big Air Chur Festival we’re now looking forward to the first slopestyle World Cup of the winter, which is slated to take place at the world-famous Stubai Zoo from 18-19 November 2022.

Stubai has been the jump-off point for the freeski slopestyle World Cup campaign for five of the past six seasons, with some of the biggest names in freeskiing hitting the podium there in Austria over that period. With a dependable glacier snowpack and one of the finest slopestyle courses in the world, Stubai always delivers, and we can’t wait to get back to the Zoo once again in a few weeks.

Ahead of this season’s competition the organisers in Stubai and the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) have announced a set of media days ahead of the competition, where from 8-9 November interested parties will be able to check out the venue, meet, greet and interview with some of the top athletes, and get a head start on preparations for all of this season’s coverage.

From ÖSV:

Dear media representatives, dear colleagues!

After the Freeski World Cup opener in the Big Air in Chur, which was quite successful from an Austrian point of view with two fifth places, the best slopestylers in the world are now preparing for the first highlight in their World Cup calendar: from November 16th to 19th, 2022 the FIS Freeski World Cup Stubai will open the World Cup season for the sixth time in the Snowpark Stubai Zoo, welcoming starters from over 20 nations. Among the top athletes, a strong Austrian team is also hoping for success on home soil.

We are pleased to invite you to the Media Day on the Stubai Glacier and the ÖSV press get-together on the Bergisel as part of the FIS Freeski World Cup on the Stubai Glacier!
