Unfortunately, due to challenging weather conditions, Saturday’s Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup in Feldberg had to be cancelled.

Despite a very early wake-up call for all volunteers, course maintenance staff and everybody trying to make this race possible, the given circumstances did not allow for a safe race to happen, therefore the Jury decided to cancel the competition.

“Of course, it is really too bad that we cannot have a safe race today here in Feldberg. But the most important task is to keep the athletes safe and healthy, especially with the upcoming World Championships in less than two weeks in Idre Fjäll. I want to thank all the volunteers, the entire staff of the Feldberg organizing committee for the hard work and commitment. Now it is full focus on tomorrow’s race. Fingers crossed that weather conditions will give us a good and fair chance to compete tomorrow,” Klaus Waldner, FIS Cross Race Director comments.

It is now full focus on tomorrow’s time trial qualifications with men starting at 9:45 CET and women at 10:40 CET, followed by finals at 12:00 CET.

Let’s hope for weather improvement and a good race on Sunday!
