A big honour for Norwegian superstar Jarl Magnus Riiber:  the journalists at the annual Forum Nordicum elected the 22-year-old as the first-ever Nordic Combined “Nordic Ski King” of the Winter.

The vote has been held annually since 1996 and big names like Kamil Stoch, Dario Cologna, Martin Schmitt or Gregor Schlierenzauer have received the prize in the past but never a Nordic Combined athlete. After his fable season 2018/19 with 12 World Cup victories and three medals at the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in Seefeld (AUT), Riiber made it to the top of the list.

Riiber, who is currently recovering from an eye surgery, was not able to pick up his prize in person but sent a video to thank the present media representatives.
