Italian athlete Aaron Kostner will be sidelined for the rest of the season while he recovers from a knee injury sustained in training before the World Cup events in Ramsau am Dachstein (AUT). The 20-year-old crashed while landing a training jump during the week before the event and immediately felt a pain in his left knee.

Further examinations and an MRI back at his home in Italy resulted in the diagnosis of a ruptured medial collateral ligament and damage to the meniscus. Yesterday, Kostner underwent a successful surgery at the Dolomiti Sportclinic.

Not what I was looking for! • Thank's to the doctors at @dolomitisportclinic for the great surgery🙏🏼 • My way back starts right now😊 • Good luck to my teammates for the next races✊🏻🍀🙌🏻 • #seasonend #neverstopsmiling😊 #neverstopdreaming #italynordiccombined #bestteam #thankful🙏🏼 #illbeback #wearefisi #fiammeoromoena #elikos #fisnordiccombined
