Last weekend in Chaikovskiy, the Nordic Combined Cup of Russia 2019/20 ended. In total, ten competitions took place during the season, and the members of the national team represented their home regions at the last few stages.

The 9th stage was held in a completely new format for Nordic Combined: the first part was an interval cross-country race and then like in a Mass Start event, the winners were determined in the ski jumping portion. National team member Vyacheslav Barkov was the "man of the day" and won in this new format, Dmitry Gelvig finished the second and Samir Mastiev closed the top 3. The tenth and final competition ended exactly with the same result.

Following the results of all ten starts, Dmitry Gelvig with 6 podiums became the owner of the Cup of Russia. The top 3 also included Vyacheslav Barkov and Konstantin Abramov.

On the women's side, the 9th stage ended with a victory of Anastasia Goncharova. Svetlana Gladikova was second and Maria Yakovleva finished the third. In the tenth and final event, Goncharova was disqualified and couldn't fight for the overall trophy. The chance was taken by Maria Yakovleva who won the final competition. Silver medal went to Diana Fedorova, bronze – to Anna Alexandrova.

Thanks to this victory, Maria Yakovlova managed to win the overall standing of the Cup of Russia.  Anastasia Goncharova took the second place and Larisa Skryabina finished third.
