Annika Sieff is the first women's World Cup PCR winner

Italy’s Annika Sieff is the very first winner of a provisional competition round in a Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined Women’s World Cup. With a jump to 88.5 metres and 119.6 points, the 17-year-old was able to place herself in front.
The result of the jumping round was a very close affair and the women showed some great performances in their World Cup debut: a total number of 14 athletes would start within one minute if the Provisional Competition Round has to be used in case of bad weather.
Rank two went to Gyda Westvold-Hansen from Norway, who landed a jump on 92 metres, but lost a few style points due to her landing (116.8 points). Her teammate Mari Leinan Lund followed on rank three with a jump to 91.5 metres and 115 points.
Strong cross-country skier Tara Geraghty-Moats from the United States (88m, 113.7p.) was fourth and would start 24 seconds behind Sieff if the PCR had to be used. Daniela Dejori (86.5m, 113.4p.) and Veronica Gianmoena (88m, 112.9p.) completed the top six and a very strong result for the Italian team.
Former ski jumping athlete Claudia Purker from Austria (85m, 110.7p), who opened the competition with bib number one was 7th and would start 36 seconds behind Sieff.
