Busy training times for Italian teams

Both the Italian men’s and women’s teams have not been idle this summer. At the beginning of August, both World Cup teams trained in Tarvisio and Eisenerz with nine athletes  in total under the guidance of head coaches Ivo Pertile and Danny Winkelmann.

The women's World Cup team consisting of Daniela Dejori, Annika Sieff, Veronica Gianmoena and Lena Prinoth was active in the famous triangle of Tarvisio, Planica and Villach. Also present were the technicians Ivo Pertile and Francesco Benetti.

The male "A" team made up of Samuel Costa, Aaron Kostner, Raffaele Buzzi, Alessandro Pittin and Giulio Bezzi trained in Eisenerz (AUT) with the head coach Danny Winkelmann and the coach Ivan Lunardi at the same time.

In mid-August, the men’s team proceeded to the ski tunnel in Oberhof (GER) to collect the first kilometres on snow. Meanwhile, the Nordic Combined women's group travelled to the World Championship host Oberstdorf (GER) at the end of August., scheduled from 17 to 22 August.

At the same time, the C teams and national interest groups in Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined met for a training camp Berchtesgaden, with Greta Pinzani, Martina Zanitzer, Camilla Comazzi, Asia Marcato, Noelia Vuerich, Manuel Senoner, Bryan Venturini, Luca Libener, Davide Moraschini and Martino Zambenedetti on location. They were looked after by coaches Stefano Comazzi, Roberto Cecon and Enrico Nizzi.

At the beginning of September, it was the men’s team’s time to come to Oberstdorf. Samuel Costa, Aaron Kostner, Raffaele Buzzi, Alessandro Pittin and Giulio Bezzi tested the World Championship facilities and got in some jumps and roller ski kilometres.
