The Russian National Championships 2021 in Nordic Combined were held only on the normal hill in Nizhny Tagil. Due to the warm weather the individual competitions on the large hill were cancelled and the Team Sprint was moved to the normal hill as well.

The first event of the Russian Nordic Combined Championships was won by Maria Kuzmina. The Ski Jumping part was ended by the clear victory of Stefania Nadymova. But Kuzmina, who is only 15 years old, managed to close the 51-seconds gap and won the gold medal. Nadymova finished 27,5 seconds after Kuzmina, and Svetlana Gladikova completed the Top 3.

Vyacheslav Barkov was the best in the men's individual competition. The finish battle with Samir Mastiev ended with a 0,3-second advantage of Barkov. Artem Galunin was third. The fastest man of the day, Vitaly Sharshavin, achieved the fourth place after the 28th result on the hill.

The team of Moscow (Alexander Ovsyannikov, Eduard Zhirnov, Alexander Milanin and Vyacheslav Barkov) won the gold medals in the team event. The second place went to the team of Moscow region (Alexander Kolganov, TimofeyBorisov, Denis Agunov, Vitaly Sharshavin). The team of St. Petersburg (David Ibragimov, Ivan Konoplev, Kirill Averyanov, Ivan Pronin) finished third.

The Team Sprint victory went to the duo of Alexander Milanin and Vyacheslav Barkov. The representatives of Sverdlovsk region, Samir Mastiev and Maxim Kipin, were second, Alexander Kolganov and Vitaly Sharshavin won the bronze medal. It should be noted that the main job of Maxim Kipin, the owner of the silver medal, is his work in the fire and rescue team.

This start was the last in the career for Konstantin Abramov. He performed not only in national competitions but also took part in the international competitions. The best result of Abramov was the 17th place on the Continental Cup in Ruka in 2018.
