10 athletes, seven men and three women have been named to the Norwegian A-teams for the upcoming season. Many of the next best get the chance in the development teams.

“This is a historic day for us regarding Women’s Nordic Combined”, says Sports Director Ivar Stuan. “In the last years, we have systematically built up the women’s teams. The big goal is of course the first-ever women’s event at the World Championships in Oberstdorf and the first World Cup events. Our goal is to win a medal also on the women’s side.”

“We have a tremendously good season on all accounts behind us. We were the world's best combined nation, both for women and men. Even in the demanding financial situation, which we are facing due to the Corona virus, we see many opportunities ahead to be the best when winter comes, Stuan believes.

The first official training camp is planned in August for the national teams.

“The most important thing now in the start-up phase is that the daily training starts and that the job is done at home. All the experience in recent seasons shows that the three training centres we have are good arenas for us to take new steps”, says Stuan.
