At the meeting of the Committee for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combination in mid-May, the composition of the national teams for the 2020/2021 season was proposed. These have yet to be confirmed at the Slovenian Ski Association’S general assembly meeting. The committee also discussed the reports for the past and the plans of the national teams for the new season, as well as the financial report.

“The selection and for the 2020/21 season were adopted without comment, as were the plans for 2020/21”, says the Chairman of the Committee for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined, Ljubo Jasnič.

“At the beginning of May, training started under all the conditions set by the NIJZ. As for work and preparations for the new season, things have started to run normally. A bigger problem was with the financial report for the 2019/20 season, as we found that the favourable situation at the end of the calendar year deteriorated sharply due to the coronavirus situation.   Because we are in trouble because of this situation, we need to take care of liquidity so that we can train normally and we need to train because of the World Cup and the World Cup. In both the men's and women's A national teams, everything is going according to plan but we will have to reduce some at the expense of other national teams to ensure liquidity.”

The following athletes have been named to the team:

A-team

Vid Vrhovnik

Rok Jelen

B-team

Ožbej Jelen

Gašper Brecl

Youth Team

Uroš Vrbek

Matic Hladnik

Ema Volavšek

Silva Verbic
