The knee surgery following Franz-Josef Rehrl’s fall during the PCR in Ramsau am Dachstein was successful. The Styrian tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and the damage was fixed by  Dr. Jürgen Barthofer in the Diakonissenkrankenhaus in Linz.

“The operation went very well. The cruciate ligament was surgically reconstructed and tears in the inner and outer meniscus were treated. Physiotherapy starts right away and Franz-Josef will be able to leave the hospital on Sunday”, knee surgeon and ÖSV team doctor Dr. Jürgen Barthofer said after the procedure.
