3 Questions for Petr Šablatura

One of the rising stars of the Czech Ski Association is Petr Šablatura.
The 19 year-old already competed in 14 Continental Cups and took part in four Junior World Ski Championships with a 9th place as his best result.

1. When did you start Nordic Combined and why?
I started with NC when I was nine years old, before that I was doing Alpine Skiing and Cross Country skiing. But as almost everyone in my family is somehow connected with NC, I went to my first Ski Jumping training and I fell in love with it.
2. How do you spend your time, when you’re not training?
It depends, mostly I spend time with my girlfriend or do some things that recharges my batteries. I watch Netflix, play my guitar, spend time with my friends. And, of course, I do something productive too, such as stretching or physio, things that are helpful for future trainings.
3. Finish this sentence: Next season I want to … ?
Next season I want to perform on the highest level, I will be capable of. As it’s said, hard work always pays off, so my priority is being consistent in Ski Jumping and just have fun and joy with my performance. I would love to have some top ten finishes in COC or score some points in WC.
