Gyda Westvold Hansen is the winner of the Womens World Cup in Otepää today.

After the jury had to change today's competition format due to the difficult wind conditions on the Tehvandi HS97, a Mass Start took place instead of an Individual Gundersen.

Led by the top 3 of the overall World Cup, the athletes started together in the 5 km of the Tehvandi Stadium after Race Director Lasse Ottesen gave the starting shot.

Overall World Cup leader Gyda Westvold Hansen immediately took the lead, followed by Anju Nakamura from Japan and Russian Anastasia Goncharova.

Hansen kept the lead up to the 3.7 km measuring point and led the field 3.2 seconds ahead of her team colleague and wearer of the red bib as best skier Marte Leinan Lund confidently in the last lap.
Four athletes turned into the home straight together, in the end Ida Marie Hagen was able to prevail against the pursuers.

Marte Leinan Lund landed very close in second place (+0.3 sec), followed by the Germans Cindy Haasch and Hansen (both +1.8 sec) in fourth place.

The first eight athletes reached the finish line within 10 seconds, so a tough fight for the podium could be expected during ski jumping.

In the end, Gyda Westvold Hansen won the Ski Jumping round once again. With the furthest jump of the day to 94 meters (113.8 pts), the Norwegian flew away from her competitiors.

Second place went to her team colleague Ida Marie Hagen, who was in the lead after the cross-country race. With 85 meters and 93.4 points she placed ahead of the Japanese Yuna Kasai (85.5 m, 84.9 pts) on rank three, because Mari Leinan Lund, who was second after the jump, got disqualified due to an irregular suit.

Hansen continues to lead the overall World Cup and keeps the yellow bib.
