Jarl Magnus Riiber secured his 6th World Cup victory of the season in Ramsau today, increasing his total World Cup wins to 42.

The permanent owner of the yellow bib already showed a strong performance at the WM-Schanze HS 98 this morning. With 102 meters Riiber jumped the furthest distance of the day, but lost some points at the landing. Therefore, he secured the lead after the jumping round one more time, with a total of 140.2 points and was the first one to start into the cross-country race this afternoon.

The second place in Ski Jumping went to Julian Schmid from Germany and Simen Tiller. While the Norwegian reached 97 meters, Schmid only needed 93.5 meters to collect the same amount of 128.2 points, due to a change of gate from 19 to 18.
The two athletes shared the lead until Riiber took over again and had the same backlog of 48 seconds on the Norwegian highflyer.

Rank 4 after jumping was taken by Czech Tomas Portyk (95.5 mts, 127.7 pts), who went into the race 50 seconds behind Riiber.

A total of nine athletes started the race within the first minute, so a tight fight for the two remaining podium places happened.

After 2.5 km, Riiber already increased his lead to 55.5 seconds, while the group of pursuers grew to 10 athletes. While the Norwegian ran a lonely race at the top, enjoying the beautiful conditions in Ramsau, like he explained later, the chasing group was led alternately by the Germans Julian Schmid and Terence Weber.

On the last uphill last years winner Vinzenz Geiger started an attack and managed to pull away. The German reached the finish line 28 seconds after Riiber, while a tight fight for the last podium spot took place behind him.
Local hero Johannes Lamparter, who placed 17th after Ski Jumping and showed a strong performance on cross-country skis. The Austrian delivered a photo finish with the Best Skier in the red bib Ilkka Herola. In the end, the Finn had the ski 0.1 sec further ahead (+ 31.9 sec), while Lamparter (+ 32.0 sec) got the short straw and reached the thankless 4th place on home soil.

With 23:04.9 min for the 10 km race, Herola had once again the fastest total skiing time.
