COC: Super Sprint and 7.5km race in Rena (NOR)

The women’s Continental Cup took place in Rena (NOR) last weekend.

A total of three competitions were on the program with the first Super Sprint and as well as a 5 km and a 7.5 km Individual Gundersen.

After the first Nordic Combined Super Sprint race, Italy's Daniela Dejori was in the lead with a time of 13:48.0 min, ahead of Thea Oihaugen from Norway (14:32.0 min) and Trine Göpfert from Germany (+14:40.0 min).

Due to strong winds, the subsequent Ski Jumping had to be postponed to Saturday.

With 87.5 meters, Göpfert secured the victory ahead of Dejori (85.5 m) and Veronica Gianmoena (89.5 m), also from Italy.

At the subsequent Individual Gundersen, the Norwegian Kjersti Graesli was in the lead after the Ski Jumping part with the day's best distance of 97.5 meters and took a 10 second lead into the 5 km race.
Second place went to her teammate Ingrid Laate (93.5 m), ahead of Sophia Maurus (94.5 m) from Germany.

The previous day's second Daniela Dejori of Italy, who was fourth after Ski Jumping, showed a strong race and crossed the finish line first, celebrating her maiden COC victory.
The Second place went to Annika Malacinski (+31.9 sec) from the United States, who also achieved her best COC result. Sophia Maurus (+34.1 sec) placed third, also with a personal best.

At the first 7.5km Individual Gundersen, since Nizhny Tagil (RUS) 2021, on Sunday, Graesli was clearly in the lead again after Ski Jumping part with a magnificent jump on 110 meters.
Sophia Maurus (92.5 m) took second place, 1 min behind, ahead of Ingrid Laate (91 m), 1:32 min behind.

Over the longer 7.5 km race, Graesli was unable to maintain her large lead and ended up fifth.

The victory went to Sophia Maurus for the first time with a total time of 23:16.6 min, ahead of her German teammate Trine Göpfert (+38.6 sec) and Annika Malacinski (+40.7 sec) in third place.
