With the return of summer in Central Europe, including record temperatures and bright sunshine, also the FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix is just around the corner.
From 26th August until 4th September 2022, a total of 9 competitions will be held in Germany and Austria.
In a span of 10 days, four Individual competitions for both women and men as well as a Mixed Team event are scheduled, with two weekend- and one mid-week events.

The opening of this year’s Summer Grand Prix will take place in Oberwiesenthal/Germany with a PCR on the Fichtelbergschanze HS105, on Friday, 26th August. On Saturday the second Mixed Team event in the history of the Grand Prix is planned, after the premier also took place in Oberwiesenthal 2019.
The weekend will end with an Individual competition for both women and men on Sunday, followed by an exciting uphill roller ski race to the top of the Fichtelberg.

In 2021, Norways Gyda Westvold Hansen won the women’s normal hill event, while Olympic champion Vinzenz Geiger took the home-victory for Germany on the men’s side.

The scheduled event in 2020 had to be cancelled, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Grand Prix final will take place in Tschagguns/Austria, starting with a PCR on Friday, 2nd September.
Women and men will both be competing in two Individual events on the HS108 normal hill on Saturday and Sunday, crowning the overall winners after their 5K / 10K roller ski races.

In 2017, the last time Tschagguns hosted a Grand Prix event, Germany’s Fabian Riessle won the men’s competiton after a tight finish sprint against Mario Seidl from Austria and Finnish Ilkka Herola.

Tschagguns will also host a Youth Cup on the 2nd and 3rd September, with two competitions each for boys and girls in YC 1 and 2.
