Lahti (FIN): Riiber beats Ilves in tight finish sprint

Jarl Magnus Riiber is the winner of today’s Individual Gundersen in Lahti (FIN).

The lead after the Ski Jumping competition at the Salpausselkä HS130 was taken by Kristjan Ilves. 
In changing wind conditions, the Estonian jumped the furthest distance of the day with 129.5 meters (148.2 pts) at the Salpausselkä HS130 and took the lead. Therefore, he is the first one to start into the 10 km cross-country race starting at 16:30 EET.

Rank 2 after jumping went to Ryota Yamamoto from Japan, who also reached 129.5 meters, collecting 146 points. The current Best Jumper will go into the race 9 seconds after Ilves.

Jarl Magnus Riiber (121 mts, 142.7 pts) placed third, 22 seconds behind the leader.

With an 11th place, Johannes Lamparter secured the Overall World Cup victory today.
