The Norwegian Ski Association nominated their male and female athletes for the Nordic Combined National team.

Newest addition for the 2022/23 season is Ida Marie Hagen, who finished second in the overall World Cup ranking last winter and expands the team from eight athletes last season to nine.

She “impressed everyone when she was number two behind her teammate Gyda Westvold Hansen”, said Norwegian sports manager Ivar Stuan. “She has come back stronger after an injury and showed that she deserves to be part of the national team.”

Meanwhile, Men’s Overall World Cup champion Jarl Magnus Riiber looks “forward to another eventful season.”
The Nordic Combined superstar still set new goals for himself, since “there is always something that can be improved. It would great to win the crystal globe five years in a row, just like Eric Frenzel did before. But I am also looking forward to the World Championships in Planica.”

Ida Marie HagenIt is great to be part of the Nordic Combined national team. Last season was beyond expectation. Things can change quickly, because the season before did not go as well and I was at the bottom of the Norwegian Cup list. Now I look forward to a season with the World Cup as one of the goals.
