Planica (SLO): Hansen dominates Official Training

The first official Ski Jumping training of the Nordic Combined women took place this morning on the HS 102 in the Planica Nordic Center.

The first three jumps on the World Championship hill provided the first glimpses into to the athlete's jumping shapes before the Individual Gundersen competition that takes place on Friday, 24th February.

With two training rounds, the athletes had the opportunity to get to know the hill before the World Championship events.

The furthest jump of the day was performed by Gyda Westvold Hansen mit 97.5 meters in the second training round. 
The Norwegian was also the winner of the other to trainings and was able to prove her strong jumping form once again.

As the defending champion, she is considered the favorite for the gold medal and will remain so after her good training performance.

Yuna Kasai from Japan also drew attention to herself with two third places and one second place, while Annika Sieff from Italy improved continuously and took second place in the third practice session.

As a Junior World Champion, she also has a good chance of winning a medal in Planica.

Germany's favorite Nathalie Armbruster still has room for improvement with two fifths and one seventh place, while Mari Leinan Lund from Norway convinced with second, third and fourth place after her hip injury.
