Confirmation for the Nordic weekend and season opening for Nordic Combined and Cross-Country in Ruka (FIN).

In a meeting on 14th November the Organizing Committee gave an update regarding the snow conditions in northern Finland. The organizers were able to use the low temperatures to produce artificial snow and prepare the cross-country course as well as parts of the Ski Jumping hill.

In the coming days, the preparation of the Ski Jumping hill will also be completed thanks to permanent minus temperatures below 0°C.

“We are very happy that the team in Ruka is putting in all efforts to provide the most suitable race course length for our scheduled competitions. The stage is set to have an exciting season start event”, said Cross-Country Race Director Michal Lamplot.

Therefore, Ruka is ready for the upcoming FIS Nordic Combined, Cross-Country, and Ski Jumping World Cups from 24th - 27th November 2022.
