Gyda Westvold Hansen secured her 7th World Cup victory of the season in Seefeld (AUT) today.

The owner of the yellow bib was already in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on the Toni Seelos HS 109.

In light snowfall the Overall World Cup leader from Norway jumped the furthest distance of the day with 106.5 meters (124.7 pts) in the morning and was therefore the first to start into the 5 km race at the WM Arena in the afternoon.

Like yesterday, rank 2 after jumping went to Nathalie Armbruster from Germany, who reached 103.5 meters and collected a total of 121.6 points. She started the race 12 seconds after Hansen, while Italian Annika Sieff (101.5 m, 119.6 pts) placed third, 20 seconds behind the leader.

As usual, Hansen ran a lonely race in the front, too fast to be caught by her pursuers.
Meanwhile, a tight fight for the other two podium spots took place.
With Ida Marie Hagen racing up from rank 11 to 6th after 3.7 km, Armbruster (+39.3 sec) and Sieff (+40.2 sec) had to work together to keep their top 3 positions.

While Hansen claimed another victory in Seefeld, the fight for the other two podium spots was way more exciting.
Sieff and Armbruster went into the home stretch together and showed a tight finish sprint that ended in a photo finish. In the end, the Italian (+35.9 sec) was slighty ahead and placed second, while Armbruster (+36 sec) took the third rank.
