Sieff and Buzzi are Italian Champions 2022

The Italian National Championships took place in Villach (AUT) last weekend, where Annika Sieff and Raffaele Buzzi won the 2022 titles.

In the women’s competition, Sieff was already in the lead after the Ski Jumping round with the furthest jump of the day on 95.5 meters. She collected 122.5 points and went into the 5 km roller ski race 2:06 min before Veronica Gianmoena (81.5 m) on rank 2. 
The Junior World Champion defended her safe lead to the finish and took the national title ahead of Gianmoena (+2:10 min) and Greta Pinzani (+3:25 min) on third place.

With her strong performance, Annika Sieff was also crowned Junior Champion ahead of Greta Pinzani and Anna Senoner.

To make her day perfect, the 19-year-old also achieved 3rd place in the women's Ski Jumping ranking and became National Junior Ski Jumping champion.

The men’s Individual competition was won by Raffaele Buzzi, after a strong performance on roller skis. 
The 27-year-old placed third after the Ski Jumping part with 89.5 meters and went into the 10 km race 40 seconds behind the leader Iacopo Bortolas (93.5 m). 
The second place was taken by Domenico Mariotti with the furthest jump of the day on 95 meters (+2 sec).

With a strong roller ski race, Buzzi reached the finish line first and secured his first Italian national title, ahead of Mariotti (+19.5 sec) and Samuel Costa (+42.9 sec) on the third rank.

Iacopo Bortolas became the men’s Junior National champion, ahead of Stefano Radovan and Manuel Senoner.
